State Representative Candidate Peggy Mayfield Outraises Opponents 4 to 1

Current Morgan County Clerk Leads the Field in Individual Contributors by 5 to 1

(Martinsville, IN)—Candidate for State Representative and Morgan County Clerk Peggy Mayfield filed her campaign finance report Friday showing that she has outraised Republican Opponent Daniel Elliot and Democrat Peggy Welch 4 to 1.  She also reported receiving more individual contributions than any other candidate in the race for the District 60 house seat.

By last week’s reporting deadline, the Mayfield campaign raised over $35,000 and reported nearly $20,000 cash on hand. Comparatively, Democrat Peggy Welch raised just over $10,000 in the same reporting period. Republican opponent Daniel Elliot raised just over $10,000 and only reported $430 cash on hand.

“We led the field in individual contributors and individual contributions,” said Mayfield campaign manager Jacob Clough. “Peggy Mayfield’s conservative message resonates with voters in the new district, and her accomplishments as a government reformer and business woman are already known in Morgan County,” said Clough, adding, “It’s pretty clear voters want someone to replace Peggy Welch, and they’ve picked Peggy Mayfield to do it.”
